Emperor Ming, thrilled beyond belief that Flash Gordon and his companions have been destroyed, intercepts a radio message from the resurrected Flash to his father informing him their expedition to find an antidote to 'The Purple Death' has been successful and will hopefully save Earth. An enraged Ming, knowing his soldiers cannot survive the intense cold of Frigia, sends his minion Torch and a company of 'Annihilations', mechanical robots fitted with explosives that Torch can control and detonate from the safety of his rocket ship. Deep in the frozen wastes of Frigia the mechanical 'walking bombs' find Flash and attack. Flash grapples with one of the 'Annihilations' as it is set to detonate. Will Flash survive this explosive attack? Can he get the antidote back to save Earth?
