Flash Gordon is assigned to escort Dale Arden on a vital mission to the desolate prison planet Gemini, the last resort for incurable criminals. Dale has to repair their oxygen purification system within twenty-four hours if anyone on Gemini is to survive. Only the Skyflash can get there in time. Flash is reluctant to take Dale to such a dangerous place and his fears prove justified when a desperate criminal named Flaggart, a man seeking revenge on Flash Gordon and the others who caused his imprisonment years ago, manages to commandeer the Skyflash. He risks landing on a planet with a deadly atmosphere where he has a secret supply of fuel stashed away. Flaggart and Flash can only hold their breaths so long and one breath on the planet Ariel means death. Can they survive long enough to even get the fuel inside of the Skyflash?

The Wells Fargo Company has been plagued by a string of stagecoach holdups everywhere, except in Boone County where a remarkable woman, Cannonball McKay (Louise Lorimer), holds the stagecoach franchise.
